Pet insurance has been and still is a growing concern with pet
owners alike, due to the increasing amount of necessary trips to
the veterinarian. Some of these trips can be extremely expensive
depending on the reason for your visit. Routine check ups as
well as emergency visits can be a costly expense that can be
greatly minimized by simply opting into a basic pet insurance
plan. Pets are often exposed to situations that can cause
illness and accidental injuries. Lets face it, you can’t be with
your pet all the time, and like children, pets can get
themselves into dangerous situations. Unfortunately, these
situations can sometimes lead to vet bills reaching hundreds,
sometime thousands of dollars. When you take into consideration
routine check ups, medicines, preventative measures, exams and
surgeries, you can imagine how quickly this can add up.

There are a number of options available concerning pet insurance
and dog insurance that are very affordable to keep your pet well
taken care of when those unexpected veterinary pet care bills
arise. Complete pet health insurance plans can start as low as
10 dollars per month, which is a small amount to keep your loved
pet safe and healthy for years to come. Dog insurance and cat
insurance plans can save you a lot of money and stress.

What would you do if your pet suddenly became ill and you needed
a thousand dollars for the treatment of your pet? Would you be
able to cover the costs without pet health insurance? For some
people, this may not be a problem, but for most, this can be a
devastating unexpected expense. We love our pets, that is why we
have them isn’t it? It would be very difficult to have to let
your pet go because of not being able to pay the medical bill.
That wouldn’t be an option, besides, how would you tell your
children? Absolutely right, you couldn’t. So, for as little as
it costs, why not bring piece of mind into the household and
make sure your pets medical expenses are covered with pet
insurance plan. Believe me, there are many advantages to a good
dog insurance plan. Don’t take the chance, and risk finding out
the hard way, it’s just not worth it. It’s cheaper to have a pet
plan than it is not to have one.

If you love your pet, and also love not spending hundreds to thousands of dollars at the veterinarian’s office, you might be interested in getting cheap insurance for your pet. Visits to the vet are often unexpected, and unfortunately they can also wreak havoc on our finances. For many pet owners, a trip to the vet often causes anxiety: not only may one be worried about the health of their pet, but they also have to worry about how much the cost of treatment will be.

Some animals, too, are more likely to have recurring conditions. It is not uncommon, for example, for female cats to semi-frequently have urinary tract infections. Depending on the visit, the blood tests, the urinary tests, and the medication, you can expect to pay several hundreds of dollars in just one visit. And if the medication you’re given is not effective in destroying the bacteria, you will have to go through the entire procedure all over again. In the long run, it might cost you thousands of dollars throughout your pet’s lifetime to properly treat them.

This may be a very stressful matter for some individuals, and may cause them to even balk at the idea of even having pets. But fortunately, you can get cheap insurance for pets that will help to cover the costs of illness, accident or injury to your beloved pet. With some plans, you can end up paying just 15 cents a day — or just $5 a month — in order to cover basic pet health insurance. Depending on which insurer you choose, as well as your selected pet insurance plan, you can save thousands of dollars in vet costs over the life of your pet.

If you’re tired of paying hundreds to thousands of dollars for your pet’s health care treatment, consider purchasing cheap insurance for pets. For a small monthly premium, you might end up saving thousands of dollars a year on pet costs.

Pets can make a great family addition, especially as they bring so much joy to their owners, no matter what type of animal they are. However, there is a lot of responsibility that comes along with owning a pet.

Feeding and walking a dog or cat, or cleaning out a fishbowl, for example, isnt the only chore that should be minded when youve brought a new pet into your home. Regular veterinarian check-ups are a requirement for all pets, to ensure they are in good health and enjoying all the benefits that has to offer. Purchasing good quality food and spending sufficient time with your pets are also important for their well-being.

However, not all pet responsibilities can be predicted. Accidents and injuries can happen to animals just the same as people, and its important to be prepared for such instances. Thats why many people choose to purchase insurance for their pets. Pet insurance can help keep the owners mind at ease, as they know that no matter what happens to their pet, there is less to worry about when it comes to high vet bills and costly treatments.

In fact, there has been an increase in the number of people choosing to purchase pet insurance, with many professional bodies recommending that owners take the steps necessary to ensure the safety and continued health of their animals. It has also been noted that over 50 per cent of animals in the UK will need veterinary assistance and medical attention at some point each year. While emergency trips to the vet can add up, purchasing insurance can help decrease the cost of such visits.

Protecting your pet can also help you save money, as your insurance will cover any accidents and injuries that could arise and harm your pet. Indeed, business experts have noted that pet insurance is increasing in popularity, and that many insurance companies around the world are now offering options for coverage in a variety of ways.

Though some have warned that it could be tempting to cancel or avoid purchasing insurance due to tough economic times, experts are noting that its still important to insure family pets in case of accident.

In some cases, it could be even more expensive to pay for emergency medical treatments rather than purchase the necessary pet insurance. But, choosing the right insurance plan and coverage can ensure that your pet can be properly treated without expensive vet bills.

In the United Kingdom one of the most popular pets after cats and dogs are rabbits. Rabbit owners treat their pets like a member of the family, they are smart animals and can be house trained.

Rabbits are also kept as show animals, there are now many different breeds and varieties that are shown. These pets bring love and joy to both families and individuals. This is why when our pet rabbits become ill it can be an upsetting and traumatic time.

Veterinary treatment can be expensive and depending on the type of illness, can be long term. When the much loved family pet or prize winning rabbit becomes ill or is in pain or has become sick we want to see them better. Our first port of call is the local vet.

You can take the stress and worry out of trips to the vet by getting rabbit pet insurance. This is a special type of insurance specially designed for rabbits, this is because rabbits have different requirements and needs to a cat or a dog. A rabbit insurance policy is a financially sensible way for you to protect the health and welfare of your pet rabbit.

Rabbit vet insurance can cover the cost of treatments and care, pet insurance covering rabbits not only covers veterinary costs but can help you financially with other costs. Some policies cover the cost associated with finding a lost or missing rabbit or even the cost of someone looking after your rabbit if you have an extended hospital stay.

Many people often ask what is the best rabbit pet insurance? This very much depends on you and your rabbits requirements. The cost of rabbit insurance can be as little as a fiver a month depending on the type of policy you choose. This is a small price to pay knowing that you will not have to refuse treatment for your rabbit should it need a vet.

One of the hardest decisions any pet rabbit owner has to face is whether to go ahead with potentially expensive veterinary treatment or face putting your pet to sleep. Although we have their best interest at heart it can be a difficult choice if we do not have the money to pay for it.

This is why affordable rabbit insurance can put your mind at rest knowing that any vets bills will be paid for by the insurer. Like us rabbits do become ill, they are affected by the same illness and diseases that we are. Being able to get your rabbit treated promptly because you have insurance can save your and your rabbit unwanted stress and suffering.

br
br
Unfortunately, in todays world it is not difficult for a pet dog to get injured. Dogs were not designed to live in an urban environment and the common trappings of city life can yield some unfortunate incidents. These incidents may result in a trip to the vets to have the dog properly taken care of. However, such a trip is not free and can run into an expensive bill. Of course, one could defer this expense by simply purchasing adequate dog insurance designed to provide a financial safety net no different that which is provided by human health insurance coverage.

There are those who might laugh at the mere mention of dog insurance designed to cover any costs associated with illnesses that the pooch may suffer from. It is true that the mention of dog insurance will yield a reaction of laughter from some people mainly because the concept of dog insurance is a relatively new concept. Since people generally associate medical insurance with humans, it may seem odd that insurance can be purchased for a pet as well. The problem exists is that people take that moment of smirking and use it to dismiss the serious possibility of a life threatening illness effecting a loyal pet and the need for an expensive life threatening operation being required to save the poor pets life.

Another reason that people may not take the need for dog insurance seriously is because most people are unaware of the costs that can be associated with a visit to the vet. Most people will usually take their dog into the vets office for common shots, check ups. Dental visits, etc. While these visits are not free, they are also relatively inexpensive. As such, people develop the notion that vet visits and procedures are simply not expensive. (There is also the unfortunate situation of people not being aware of the costs of vet visits because they never take their dog in for yearly check ups) Such a notion is wildly inaccurate as any complicated procedure will yield expensive vet bills. So, the purchasing dog insurance is not so silly after all, particularly if it ends up saving a person a great deal of money.

A dog is a loving and loyal animal and should not be put at risk. By not taking the proper precautions to cover any financial impediments to providing proper medical care to the pet, then one is exhibiting a form of animal cruelty by default. Do not place a loving and loyal pet at risk, seek out a provider of dog insurance and have a blanket coverage plan put in place to keep the animal protected against any potential medical threats./pbr

While most of us never think twice about getting home contents insurance – after all, it is not compulsory – it is surprising how many pet owners do not take out pet insurance.

Yet, you are three times more likely to need to make a claim on your pet insurance (if you have it) compared to your contents insurance!

Many cat and dog owners see pet insurance as unnecessary, yet every year, one in three pets make an unexpected trip to the vet, meaning their owner will need to find the money to pay for their treatment. These costs can literally run into hundreds – sometimes even thousands – of pounds.

As example, when 12 year old Timmy – a Bombay cat – was adopted from a local rescue by the Ashcroft family, they immediately got him checked over by their vet and then took out pet insurance at a cost of ?10.85 a month.

Mrs Ashcroft says: “Having been a cat owner for many years, and knowing how vets bills can mount up, it seemed the natural thing to insure Timmy. We are so glad we did now. Just four months after we took out the insurance, a routine check up showed up a heart murmur. Diagnostic tests to discover just how the bad the problem was, plus ongoing medication and visits to the vet cost us well over ?700 in just a year.

“After that, further tests revealed a thyroid problem. Medication, tests and a operation the following year cost us another ?700-odd. Thankfully, our insurance covered most of these costs – we only had an ?80 excess to pay. Timmy will be on medication for the rest of his life and will need twice-yearly check ups, and the insurance policy will pay for this. It’s comforting to know that we can afford to give him the best medical treatment and attention for the rest of his life”.

There are many specialist insurance companies offering pet insurance for your pet, from rats, rabbits and reptiles through to cats, dogs and horses, at affordable prices. And while cover varies from provider to provider and depends on the type of pet you are insuring, as a basic rule, injuries and illnesses are covered. (You should note that preventative treatment, such as vaccinations or dentals are not covered).

Each time you claim for a separate injury or illness, you will be expected to pay an excess – rather like your car or home insurance.

When choosing the right policy for you and your pet, bear in mind that while the concept is the same for all the insurers, each has its own terms, conditions and criteria. The following should be taken into consideration:

? Check that there is no limit on how long you can claim for each illness. For example, if your cat need tablets to control heart problems, or your dog has arthritis, the problem will need to be controlled for the rest of their life, not just a year or 24 months

? Check that the limit per illness is realistic – over time treatment for a single illness can cost hundreds of pounds

? Check that your pet will still be covered in later life when they will need it most. Some insurers terminate policies when a pet reaches a certain age

? Look out for special discounts, such as those offered in multi-pet households and for pensioners

What would life be like if we did not have our loyal pets to keep us company? While we provide our pets with a great deal of love, but let it be known that love alone will not keep them out of harm’s way. A pet needs security and a safety net and such security is provided by making sure that a pet dog or cat is properly provided for in the instance of a medical emergency.

No matter how many precautions we may take to keep a pet safe and secure, accidents happen that require attention. Sometimes, the simple matter of aging can yield some complications that require medical attention. Also, very benign procedures such as common dental work may result in some expensive medical costs. Pet insurance helps circumvent the problems that can arise in such a situation. After all, that is the whole purpose of insurance (pet or otherwise): the need to protect one’s assets in the case of an unexpected calamity or occurrence.

The costs involved with a trip to the vet can be very steep indeed and many pet owners find themselves in a state of shock when they discover exactly how much a medical procedure can cost. This is why the need for a sensible pet insurance plan is advised. Some may laugh at the mere mention of a pet insurance policy to cover vet bills, but it is a practical consideration to take. (Now, a pet life insurance policy, that is laughable!)

Pet insurance is usually not very difficult to obtain and, in most cases, does not involve the release of the pet’s medical records. While there will be a need for extensive review of a human being’s medical files when he or she applies for an individual insurance plan, when it comes to pets, unless the cat or dog is very old or has a pre-existing medical condition, there will usually be no need to review the files of a cat or dog’s medical file. This lack of necessity for providing stacks of medical files may provide greater ease for those who have adopted their pet from a local shelter and such extensive medical records may not be available.

For most pets, pet insurance can be acquired for under $30 a month. When one considers that a major procedure on a pet can cost upwards of $500, then such a monthly fee is quite a bargain. While some may scoff at the idea that a trip to the vet can run up such a high dollar figure, the reality is that expensive pet care is more common than is ordinarily thought. This is why the notion of purchasing pet insurance is something that all pet owners should give serious consideration.

Pet Insurance is not a new, it has been around for some time. Not many pet owners think about it until something happens to their pet and they find themselves with a Vet’s bill that is quite large or their pet may need an operation and a stay in the animal hospital that they cannot afford.

I was fortunate to find a book called Pet Insurance Secrets Revealed and it helped me enormously with what to look for and what to ask when I was shopping for my pet’s health insurance.

Like any insurance policy you need to do some research.

*What type of cover is available?
*Will it cover a visit to the Vet for the regular check-ups?
*What about if there is surgery involved and a stay in the animal hospital for your pet?
*Will that be covered in total or will you have to pay a percentage?

Today there are more and more insurance companies taking up the pet health care insurance so you do have a choice and it will be worth your while to look at them all carefully. It’s no good thinking your pet is covered only to find there was some small print you hadn’t checked out.

I know I was not aware that different breeds of pets have traits that are hereditary until I read Pet Insurance Secrets Revealed. I found there are different pet insurance packages designed for different pets. Some breeds of dogs have hereditary traits that may be excluded in a policy for you if you have that breed of dog. The age of your pet will have a bearing on the pet insurance policy too. Check out the exclusions very carefully as the conditions that may affect your pet will probably be the ones that could be excluded from the policies.

It is no good having a pet insurance policy that doesn’t cover your normal trips to the Vet, you want one that will provide you with the best possible and affordable coverage.

Remember, as with most insurance, there are deductibles. Pet insurance is no different. So it will apply to your pet’s health insurance too, the higher the deductibles the lower the premiums and vice versa, the loser the deductibles the higher the premiums. If you can afford the higher premiums, that may be a better option, not so much to pay out at the time of treatment.

You know, animals can have many of the same problems as humans, some humans cannot tolerate fat in their diet, this can apply to your pet also. If you are giving your pet a low quality pet food this may have a detrimental effect and cause your pet to be ill. So give your pet the best possible pet food you can afford.

You can help with your pet’s health insurance costs by taking a few steps to ensure your pet stays healthy. I found some great tips in the book about this. Just watching your pet’s diet can make a huge difference. We can spoil our pets without realizing it.

An overweight pet will have the same problems as an overweight human, so manage your pet’s weight too, make sure they get plenty of exercise and always have fresh clean water available at all times.

Remember your pet is not a human, so don’t treat it as one. There is nothing sadder than a little Maltese sulking and pouting because she had to go on a diet and eat dog food, couldn’t have her favorite dish, Lasagna that her owners were having. She sat under the table and wouldn’t eat. Eventually she did start eating her food and now is a much healthier dog. I think it was harder for her owner to have to refuse her favorites.

So we all like to take good care of our pets one way to do this is to make sure we have them covered with pet insurance.

Pet Insurance And Why You Can't Afford To Be Without It

Pet insurance has been and still is a growing concern with pet owners alike, due to the increasing amount of necessary trips to the veterinarian. Some of these trips can be extremely expensive depending on the reason for your visit. Routine check ups as well as emergency visits can be a costly expense that can be greatly minimized by simply opting into a basic pet insurance plan. Pets are often exposed to situations that can cause illness and accidental injuries. Lets face it, you can’t be with your pet all the time, and like children, pets can get themselves into dangerous situations. Unfortunately, these situations can sometimes lead to vet bills reaching hundreds, sometime thousands of dollars. When you take into consideration routine check ups, medicines, preventative measures, exams and surgeries, you can imagine how quickly this can add up.

There are a number of options available concerning pet insurance and dog insurance that are very affordable to keep your pet well taken care of when those unexpected veterinary pet care bills arise. Complete pet health insurance plans can start as low as 10 dollars per month, which is a small amount to keep your loved pet safe and healthy for years to come. Dog insurance and cat insurance plans can save you a lot of money and stress.

What would you do if your pet suddenly became ill and you needed a thousand dollars for the treatment of your pet? Would you be able to cover the costs without pet health insurance? For some people, this may not be a problem, but for most, this can be a devastating unexpected expense. We love our pets, that is why we have them isn’t it? It would be very difficult to have to let your pet go because of not being able to pay the medical bill. That wouldn’t be an option, besides, how would you tell your children? Absolutely right, you couldn’t. So, for as little as it costs, why not bring piece of mind into the household and make sure your pets medical expenses are covered with pet insurance plan. Believe me, there are many advantages to a good dog insurance plan. Don’t take the chance, and risk finding out the hard way, it’s just not worth it. It’s cheaper to have a pet plan than it is not to have one.
